Hanjin won 「Porter Prize for Excellence in CSV」
Hanjin won the「CSV Project, Greatest Partnership」 at the 8th Porter Prize Awards for Excellence in Creating Shared Value co-hosted by Korea Institute for Industrial Policy, Dong-A Daily News, and Channel A. The Porter Prize, which was first established in 2014 by Professor Michael E. Porter of Harvard University, is awarded to companies that have achieved excellent results in creating economic value and solving social problems. Hanjin won the prize in recognition of its win-win management with stakeholders with various CSV projects such as Fruit in My Pocket, Haman watermelon joint marketing, Hanjin OneClick, Green On Hanjin, and Upcycling project etc. Hanjin continues to fulfill its responsibilities as a member of community by creating shared value based on its logistics capabilities.
Joint marketing of local specialties
Hanjin is carrying out the ‘Haman Watermelon CSV’ project with Haman County and the Agricultural Cooperatives as part of the activities to create shared values to promote excellent local products and revitalize the local community. To this end, under the main theme of '#Watermelon Dining', we created and spread a new watermelon consumption scene that did not exist before by expanding sustainable sales channels based on Haman watermelon's unique brand differentiation as well as developing new online and mobile (D2C, Direct to Customer) marketplaces. Our goal is to promote the watermelon as a premium food ingredient that can be used all year round.
‘Gift in my wallet’ card
'Gift in my wallet' card is a new distribution model combining a prepaid card and express delivery that is invented for the first time in the industry. Hanjin is trying to promote consumption of agricultural, fishery and livestock products, to reduce complicated distribution stage by delivering fresh seasonal products directly to consumers thus it can be lead to an increase of farmers and fishermens' income.
One-click courier service
Hanjin One click courier service provides a courier service with a reasonable price and convenient function to small business owners who send about 10 parcels a day, such as startups and small business owners who have emerged as the core of the e-commerce market. Customers can conveniently use various services through the App and PC-only programs everything from courier order registration, self-printing of invoice, real-time delivery information check, VOC, and home delivery statistics. In addition to courier services, we are supporting the business growth of e-commerce operators by providing affiliate services such as quick and same-day delivery, fulfillment, overseas sales support, shopping mall upgrade, integrated management of shopping mall, and purchasing of submaterials by proxy.
Free beverage fridge for delivery drivers
Hanjin installed and operated ‘Thank You Box’ that provides mineral water to delivery drivers suffering from scorching summer heat.
The Thank You Box, installed next to the automated delivery box on the first floor of the Hanjin Building in Jung-gu, Seoul, is equipped with 500ml bottle of Hanjin Jeju Pure Water produced by Hanjin Group's affiliate KAS, so that all carriers including couriers, quick drivers, and mailmen can use it.
In addition, Hanjin is providing mobile gift certificates every summer season, hand warmers in preparation for the cold, and customized healthcare solutions including health check-up buses for courier drivers to pursue win-win cooperation with courier drivers.
