During fluctuations in the market, our bulk service has never stopped broadening its scope in all fields of bulk cargo trade ranging from handy size dry cargo to crude oil carried by VLCC.

In recent years, we have been focusing on strengthening our fleet by fixing long-term charters and placing newbuilding orders. Our new building orders include 12 Capesize bulkers, 4 Kamsarmax size vessels, 2 VLOCs and 2 VLCCs.

Although Hanjin Shipping’s head office is located in Seoul, Korea, we have been creating business opportunities overseas and have established two affiliated companies in London and Singapore.

In addition, our joint broking firm in London, Hanjin Eurobulk Ltd, and our branch office in New York have been fulfilling their duties and widening our capacity in the global market.

In 1st of July 2008, Hanjin Shipping has merged its affiliated company, Keoyang Shipping. In the product of this merger, we reinforced our fleet with 13 owned capesize bulkers and 4 long-term chartered dry bulk carriers. Its synergy will increase our value and strengthen our capability to develop new fields of business opportunity.
