As of June 1, 2004, Hanjin Shipping has successfully set its foot in London broking market by establishing a brokerage firm, Hanjin Eurobulk Ltd, a joint venture with Wigham - Richardson Shipbrokers. Hanjin Eurobulk handles certain number of Hanjin tonnage exclusively.
To expand business scope around the Atlantic, Hanjin Shipping launched Hanjin Overseas Bulk Ltd., a London based and wholly owned subsidiary in September 2005. The company has obtained customers trust in dry bulk business by providing diverse routes and competitive services with owned and chartered vessels. The company has maintained stable, long term relationship with major European traders and ship owners.
To strengthen business capacity and satisfy its valuable customers’ needs, Hanjin Shipping relocated Tanker Business to Singapore by establishing Hanjin Overseas Tanker Pte. Ltd. in 1 July, 2007. Hanjin Overseas Tanker is a local entity to focus on chartering and operation for fleet to carry a variety of clean petroleum products (Naphtha, Gas Oil, Jet Oil) and chemical products (BTX, GLYCOLS, Palm/Veg oil etc.). Hanjin Overseas Tanker operates various sized tankers from 8.8K to 47K to accommodate oil & chemical goods and provides its esteemed customers with the specialized service as a professional carrier of liquid bulk. It also sets a target to make great strides for expanding business scope and place a firm base to explore more possibilities in the tanker market while meeting high expectations from worldwide accounts.
