Hanjin Shipping is restoring freight rates in Asia - Europe trade effective December 14th, 2009.

The amount of rate restoration for all shipments from Asia (Far East, South East, and IPBC) to North Europe/Mediterranean is USD200 per TEU, USD 400 per FEU, and the Middle East to North Europe/Mediterranean is USD 150 per TEU and USD 300 per TEU.

Hanjin Shipping comments, “Though we are trying to reduce costs by all means it is inevitable for us to restore freight rates in order to maintain the quality of service to our customers.”

Details of the rate restoration are as below:

- Far East/South East Asia/IPBC to North Europe/Mediterranean : USD 200/TEU, USD 400/FEU

- Middle East to North Europe/Mediterranean : USD 150/TEU, USD 300/FEU
